Geelong Picture to Page Show and Classes Available

•March 13, 2010 • Leave a Comment

I worked at the Geelong Picture to Page Show today at the Geelong West Town Hall and met some lovely people.  I had a great time there with Kerri and Angela from our team and enjoyed being able to share some of our creations with the patrons at the show.

I hope that everyone that visited had as good a time as I did.

I have a couple of classes available to you if you a)live in the Ballarat District, or b) if you live no more than an hour or so from Ballarat and you can get a group of at least 6 people interested.  The first one is the Vanilla Vintage Album that holds four unique cards with matching envelopes..

The second class is inspired by Andrea Walford, I adjusted her tutorial to fit Australian Cards ….. it is the Fifth Avenue Floral Class.  A card box with four cards and matching envelopes.

Please contact me at sharon_sweet@bigpond.com if you are interested in either of these classes………. I will come back in a day or so with the dates that I will be holding these classes at my home.

Happy crafting…. Sharon

The cutest boy on the Planet!

•August 25, 2009 • 1 Comment

Well I hope you made it through the cobwebs to see my latest creation!  I have been waiting on a new Website, so haven’t been in here much to post anything, but unfortunately there are gremlins in my new website and it just won’t work the way I want it to……[sob]  Anyway, as you can see, I have been busy making these first birthday invitations for the ‘Cutest Little Boy on the Planet’.  His name is Kai and he belongs to a beautiful friend of mine…. I just can’t get enough of him.

These are surprise/slider/pop up cards and surprising enough, I haven’t used any stamps at all.  Just punches, cardstock, paper snips and adhesive.

If you are interested in learning how to make these cards, and are in the Ballarat area (or are willing to travel) I will be organising a class in mid September (details of cost, location etc to be advised)……. places are limited so email me to let me know if you are interested and I will give you the full details.

Gift Packaging

•June 10, 2009 • 3 Comments

I have been playing around with templates and my SU supplies and came up with this creation.

I have put Jaffa’s inside, and matched them with Real Red cardstock and ribbon to create what  think is a cute little gift for someone… at least much nicer than a plain old bag of Jaffa’s.

I have made another one with Pretty in Pink, and filled it with Musk lifesavers, but really want to find those small Musk lollies that we had as kids to put in there….. when I find them, I will post a pic on here.  If you are in the Ballarat (or even Sunshine, Victoria) and know where I can find them, please let me know!

Happy Crafting xx

Look what I have been up to

•June 8, 2009 • 3 Comments

My youngest daughter is soon to be turning 21, so I have been very busy making her invitations.  She just loves anything pink (just like her Mum) so the choice was easy.  I just underestimated how long it would take to cut out all of those glasses..lol

Here they all are                            combined invitations

and a single one for a closer look   single invitation

the invitation itself slides out using the glass as a tab   lianas invitations

Now I just hope she sends them all out 🙂

Retired Stamps for Sale

•June 7, 2009 • 3 Comments

I have decided to have a clean out and sell some of my retired stamps.  The prices do not include postage, you can pick them up if you are in the Ballarat area, otherwise have a look on the Australia Post website to find the postage cost to you from 3355.

People that know me know that I am very protective of my stamps and as a consequence they look like new.  If there is any staining, I will note whether it is very light, light or medium (no heavy staining with mine at all, even though if they were, it wouldn’t affect how well they stamp!). Most are MOUNTED, and I will specify if they aren’t.

Rather than adding pictures of them all, please go to http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ and use the Stampin’Up! gallery there to find pictures of the stamp sets.

Things have been insane around here for quite a long time.  I have a new website under construction and thought it would have been ready by now, but alas…..its not.

I have some EXCITING news coming up about some offers I will have available so please come back soon to see what they are.   I am sooo inspired after going to the SU Convention, so you should see a lot more going on around here now.

On the subject of Convention, a round of applause please for my wonderful Upline Kerri Hunter  for all of her awards and here she is receiving a hug from Shelli herself!  I am so proud of you Kerri!
